Why Dr. Bec has created this new science backed range

I’ve been driven to develop science-backed supplements that address the unique health challenges and physiology of cats, because cats are not little dogs. Despite this, few cat-specific options are available to cat parents. Most supplements marketed for cats are simply rebranded and repackaged dog supplements, and this is not species appropriate.

Over a clinical career working just with cats, I’ve been asked what we can do at home to support our cats’ health and worked to find which ingredients work for my patients and at what doses. I’ve also applied my learnings from my academic research career and have rigorously reviewed literature and clinical trials to inform what is best for cats, and what is most effective. My supplements do not replace veterinary care, but they are a great adjunct to it and complement well what we do in clinic.

Whilst there are a number of excellent commercial diets formulated to help with specific conditions, cats are creatures of habit and it can be very challenging to transition to a new diet, and sometimes it’s impossible. (My own cat Mao refuses anything but a specific supermarket brand and flavour!)

Although I am frequently asked to recommend supplements, in good faith, I could not recommend any cat-specific and evidence backed supplement options to my patients. So, it made sense to put all the ingredients together, in formulations that can be easily added to the food our cats already eat and bring them benefits without having to change anything else.
